My name is Nina Bezpyata, and I am an artist from Ukraine. I live and create in a place where nature, changing seasons, and deep cultural traditions quietly shape my inner world. The landscapes around me — open skies, soft fields, shifting light — influence my sense of color and texture. Living here has taught me to notice subtle transitions, delicate contrasts, and the beauty of natural imperfection, all of which find their way into my work.

I am deeply passionate about creating artistic scarves using the technique of wet felting. Wool, for me, is a living, breathing material. I love the meditative process of working with water, soap, and fibers — watching loose strands slowly connect and transform into a unified textile. Each piece I create is more than an accessory; it is wearable art that carries emotion, movement, and warmth. I am inspired by organic forms, layered textures, and the dialogue between strength and softness. Through my scarves, I explore how something functional can also be expressive and deeply personal.

Sustainability and diversity:

I am an artist from Ukraine, and sustainability is naturally woven into both my life and my creative practice. I work primarily with natural wool — a renewable, biodegradable material — and use the traditional technique of wet felting, which requires only water, soap, and manual work rather than industrial processes. I produce my scarves in small batches or as one-of-a-kind pieces, avoiding mass production and overconsumption. I carefully select quality materials to ensure durability, because I believe that long-lasting handmade objects are a meaningful alternative to fast fashion. Whenever possible, I minimize waste by incorporating leftover fibers into new designs.

For me, sustainability also means preserving cultural knowledge and slow craftsmanship. By practicing and sharing traditional textile techniques, I contribute to keeping heritage skills alive in a modern context. Creating locally and working by hand reduces my environmental footprint while supporting mindful consumption and appreciation of artisan work.

I strongly believe that art can be a force for empathy and connection. I stand against racism, fascism, and all forms of intolerance. My work celebrates individuality, diversity, and the beauty of differences — in textures, colors, and people.
